Early Mickey Mouse Bowl by Paragon China (Sold)

A Rare Paragon China octagonal bowl printed by copper-plate and then hand decorated in enamels with an illustration of Mickey Mouse bearing the early signature "Walter E. Disney" and the legend Hunting the Moose - dating from c.1930. Paragon only produced twelve of these early Mickey Mouse designs for a short time, all examples are extremely scarce - but after more than 20 years of buying and selling these rare pieces, this is the first time we have seen this paricular design!
Condition is very good with only one insignificant chip to the rim (at "8 o-clock" see above illus.). There is very little wear to the design and displays well.
Marked to base with the Royal Paragon printed mark and a hand written pattern or shape number and decorator's mark underglaze (see illus. above).
