Paragon Mother Goose Series Tea Plate by Chloe Preston - (Sold)

A scarce Paragon porcelain child's teaplate, hand painted in enamels, from the Mother Goose series introduced in 1918 and designed by Chloe Preston. The teaplate is decorated with an illustration of a little girl with her pet dog greeting an old lady in a landscape, and the nursery rhyme "As I was going up Pippen Hill, Pippen Hill was dirty - There I met a pretty miss, And she dropped me a curtsey". Condition is excellent with no damages or restorations, scratches or wear. Marked to base with the Paragon Star mark and "PARAGON CHINA ENGLAND Mother Goose Series".
