A scarce Paragon tea plate from the Mother Goose Series circa 1918 designed by Chloe Preston,hand coloured in enamels with an illustration of Old Mother Goose with her two children and a male goose (a "gander"), along with a quote from the well known nursery rhyme "Old Mother Goose, when she wanted to wander, Would walk through the street With her children and gander"
Marked with the Paragon star mark,Below which PARAGON CHINA MADE IN ENGLAND Mother Goose Series.
Condition is very good with little or no wear to the face of the plate, just 3 extremely minor and hardly noticeable grazes to the underside of the edge of the plate, mentioned for accuracy.
