A Cubist ceramic sculpture designed and made by Edward Allington (well known for his exhibitions of ceramics at the Lisson Gallery, London). This piece was one of 30 - 40 Cubist sculptures made for his 2nd exhibition in the 1970s at the Paul Smith Gallery in Kensington, London, and is a very good example of the Post Modernist breakthrough in Studio ceramics, which was to restore the whole movement. Signed underglaze near corner of the top of the central platform. Condition, excellent excepting one minor chip to the underside of one corner of the central platform not affecting display.
