A bucket shaped stoneware eggcup,designed by Bernard Leach at his St. Ives Pottery in Cornwall. The egg cup is coated in several shades of brown lustre glazes with sgraffito decoration and bearing the Bernard Leach St Ives Pottery circular impressed seal mark (mentioned by Geoffrey Godden in his Encyclopaedia of British Pottery and Porcelain Marks.) The mark dates from 1921 + .
